September 25, 200223 yr My 767 seems can't follow the LOC properly, it always aligned a bit right of the runway, and getting worse while approaching runway, this happened at all runways i've flown~Any idea? When i fly the PSS aircraft, they both land perfectly, so maybe there are some mistake in PIC navedata?
September 25, 200223 yr i've found it also align a bit left too! but finally it landed on the left part of the runway. Today while approaching RCTP 05L with autoland on, it align on the right of the runway, about 3 nm to go, the autoland suddenly disconnect and with full turust climb away from the runway, but with only 5 nm of right crosswind, very strange.....still any idea?I also found my 767 align crosswisely into the runway but with only a little bit crosswind.
September 25, 200223 yr Do you have a throttle? If so, when doing an autoland, throttle all the way back and the plane should land without any problems?I had the same problem when my throttle was not in idle, the plane would switch from autoland mode to G/A mode and going idle solved the problem.I hope this help!!Francois
September 25, 200223 yr yes,i use the throttle, but this is the first time that the aircraft go around itself, normally it would land with A/T engaged, and i also tick the A/T inhabits manual throttle control in the PIC setting, so during the A/T engaged, my throttle control will become inactive.I'm wondering does anyone have their autoland perfect working? because mine just inaccuracy in LOC.maybe i need some other patch? i'm currently only have FS2002 patch installed, and with airac cycles 0209, does it have incorrect data which cause me poor performance on LOC alignment?
September 25, 200223 yr Hi, maybe this can help you?http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...ewmode=threadedIf not: Landings without A/P are much more fun. ;)H.v.L.
September 26, 200223 yr It's not PIC that aligns wrong... It's the inaccuracy of the FS2002 ILS (YES, at least for THIS problem, unlike other a/c.. gooh gooh...).I notice that while the autoland works great with some airports, it tends to missallign a bit to the left or right at some airports, mainly add-ons. Maybe the ILS has not been put exactly on the rwy centerline or something. I think it has to do with the scenery you are flying. If you experience this problem at all the airports, then it may be something else. Do you have Yaw dumper engaged? Have all 3 autopilots engaged below 2500Ft AGL ? Did the Autoland 3 or Autoland 2 illuminate at 1500Ft AGL ? Have you manually tuned the ILS on the MCP or let the FMC set it for you?Hmmm.. Now that I think of it, the AirRac209 data has some wrong headings for some ILS. Is it maybe that when the FMC automatically tunes the ILS into NAV1 the missalignment occurs? I can't remember if when I had the missalignments I had let the FMC to tune or not...I think (not sure) that whenever I turn off the autotuning and manually tune the ILS frequency and OBS into the MCP I have no problems.Cheers,George DorkofikisAthens, Greece
September 26, 200223 yr Hi gentlemen,i read "the AIRAC 0209 has wrong headings for some ILS" - please can you give an example to solve the problem. I haven
September 26, 200223 yr Hello Richard!I would like to thank you for your fine work. Works for me mostly like a charme. I use the data for a long time now and if I remember some posting correctly, there are some FS2k2 related wrong headings too. But I
September 26, 200223 yr Hi again,ok i have received a mail from George. The problem was the LGAV airport. In the AIRAC 0209 there is 33 degrees OBS heading but correct is 34 degrees.LGAV is a new airport, and not include in the standard-scenery of FS2k2, so i must get the original data from the real-world-database. In the real world database is the OBS heading exactly 33.6 degrees, means round 34 degrees and that
