October 11, 200223 yr I had ongoing problems with assigning joystick buttons through the PIC custom control dialogue. I have a solution. Credit goes to Tony_767 for leading me in the right direction. It appears that PIC gets confused if more than one joystick is used in MSFS. In my instance, I use PFC's Jet Yoke for flight controls and, get this, the combination of a CH Flight Sim Yoke PC & Simcom's 2 axis throttle for my throttle. This gives me the ability to have both left and right engine controls independent without spending $200+ on a L/R throttles. CH Yoke axis's are unassigned in the MSFS.My problem was in getting buttons on the PFC yoke assigned to PIC functions, for example a button to disconnect the autopilot. I could not get the buttons on the PFC Yoke assigned to my desired PIC function. When I tried to assign that button, PIC was reading, apparently, a button from my CH yoke or perhaps a button on the Simcom throttle. According to Tony_767, PIC looks as the first joystick listed in the Windows setting for the game controllers (control panel/game controllers) for button assignments. Because of this, when I clicked on the "change assignement button", it was reading this other button and preventing me from assigning the desired button. You would aways see a message that this joystick button was already assigned even before you pressed the desired button. To fix the problem, I first removed the CH Yoke from the Windows game controllers panel. To make sure, I restarted Windows. I then started MSFS and PIC. Using the PIC Custom Control Menu, I assigned the desired PFC Yoke button to autopilot disconnect. It accepted it without problem and worked correctly. I then quit MSFS, went to control panel and reselected the CH Yoke. All settings and calibrations were still current (using the new CH drivers).I have heard that others are having this problem too, so I thought'd I'd record it here for future reference.Rich
