Is anyone using FDC with PIC767? If so, is this a worthwile add-on, and does in have any great effect on performance (is it very CPU intensive)? Thanks....

I just started using FDC with the PIC767 and haven't had any problem, and so far its great. I been using it with the PIC panel in different models of the 757 and it also works great. For me FDC just took a little while getting use to it, but it has been well worth it.

I use FDC all the time when I fly the big birds. I have never found any impact on framerates and I don't have much of a system. However, if FS2002 is pushing the limits of your system now, adding another running program may slow performance. One of the limiting factors is available RAM. I've got 512MB and don't see any impact with my PIII 800. YMMV.

Thanks guys. I think I'll order it. I've got a 1.2gig Athlon chip and 512 ram. It's using the older ram, but I think I've got enough horsepower to handle another add-on. ;)
