October 28, 200223 yr I have this problem with my PIC FMC,(using PICs 767) for example, flying from YSSY to PHNL the FMC only shows about half of the waypoints in the legs section. By using the FMC, then half way across the pond I'm on my own. I use 2K2 flight planner to set up the flight.Any help will be appricated.
October 28, 200223 yr I am not sure what you mean by FS2k flight planner - assume it is the MS flight planner which is IMHO - useless - and it won't give youany waypoints accross water as Bill Gates is not as smart as some people think.Enter a real flight plan manually into your FMC Route page as per the manual. Save the flight plan in the FMC. Alternatively, you can get FSBuild and it will create flight plans for you and save them in the right place....or you can get the route information from FSBuild and enter it manually into the FMC which is what I recommend.Entering plans into the RTE page is fun and easy...and forget about FS2002 flight planning, it's a joke.Read the manual once, it is worth it and will bring the PIC767 to life for you.Rob.
October 28, 200223 yr Are you copying the route to the fmc flightplans folder and loading by using the company route ? I would check the route by looking at the navlog in fs2k2 - my experience is that for short routes it's good, but for long flights it can get confused and add about an additional 2000 miles on.Failing that, try entering the waypoints directly into the fmc and see if that helps.Carl

That reminds me - last night while flying to ABQ from IAH on Vatsim with Murf, we noticed a guy landing at DFW asking if anyone knew if when landing South he should go to ODENE before starting the approach.Umm.. you must mean ODEEN my friend, or must have been the MS2K flight planner this guy was using.. ODENE is just NE of Gander, NF!!Not much else to do while crossing Texas at FL390 .Ian Elchitz CYWG
