October 29, 200223 yr I dl'd some SIDS, STARS, and approaches, I'm not sure which AIRAC they're from, can't even remember where I got them from, but when I open up the FMC, push teh DEP/ARR button, my frame rates drop to 1.0, this happened at KSFO. Anyone know why? Is this just because of the sheer number of SIDS, STARS, and approaches that are in the database? Also, a quick FPS warning, at least for those who use multiple monitors. Make sure you're panels are not bleeding onto multiple screens. Somehow, my main panel, bled over to my FMC/Pedestal monitor. Cost me at least 5 FPS, I had to undock the main panel, resize and make sure it wasn't bleeding over. Now I've got a small sliver of visible front window and a blank edge between my main panel and the side of the monitor. Anyone know how to keep panels on the monitor and not let them bleed over?Lobaeux
October 29, 200223 yr I had the same and here is the answer by our friend Stephan.LeilsonIf you have a lot of SID's in your directory then this might be the cause of the drop in frame-rates. I use a utility called plantrip to manage my SID's and STAR's. Look for plantrip.zip in the file library.Kind regards,Stephan Haas
October 29, 200223 yr I'll try that, I've got pretty much every SID, STAR and approach I could find, seven pages in fact on the FMC just for KSFO.Lobaeux
