Savinf flights

Featured Replies

Since a few days when I save a flight in FS2002, the FMS is not saved with the flight so when I load it again I cannot continue the flight as it was. Did I do this myself? How can I save flights with FMC again? Thanks for your help

offcourse I mean savin"g" and FM"C", I was a bit sleepy ;)

Hi,Could you precise if it is only the FMC data or instead both FMC and panel data (including AFDS modes, overhead switches status ...) which are not saved.Regards,Laurent Crenier_____________________________767PIC Panel co-designer

The last: both FMC and Panel data. When I look into the saved flights directory, I see no *.FMC data.Frans

OK,Try to update PIC with the last patch posted on Wilco website (767Patch for FS2002 version 1.1 to allow connectivity with external devices). This patch could solve your problem because I changed the way PIC is detecting flight saving. Note well that rudder problems have been sometimes noted with this patch but you can solve them with the last release of FSUIPC (cf. other threads in this forum). I followed your advice, but it does not work. The strange thing is that it worked perfectly before a few days. All my saved flights have the data complete...Frans

How do you save flights ?Via the FS menu or via the keyboard ($) ?Keyboard shouldn't work.Regards, Laurent Crenier_____________________________767PIC Panel co-designer

I do it sometimes via keybord and sometimes via menu. But also for this: I did this many times before and it never failed. It is even like this: every minute there is a flight backup made so if I crash I can reset. And before yesterday these saves were fine including FMC. I hope you can help me further, regards,

I just reinstalled PIC 767 and all of the patches, but the problem remains....Please can anyone help???

In these cases where "that suddently doesn't work anymore", it's generally some new installed program that creates the interference. That could be any new Windows application working in background while FS2002 is running, or any new FS2002 third-party program. N.B. Meantime, you can still save the whole PIC data (including FMC data) "manually" , using the PIC menu option : Panel>Save panel data into flight. I cannot find any program that is interfering. I am on the point of installing Flightsim2002 again, but when I read Laurents mail I even do not know if that will help. Therefore just once again: is there really nobody who experienced the same problem and can give me a clue what to do or what to look at? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I go around that problem by first Pausing "P" then Saving ";" using a name like "Lastflgt" and make it the default flight. Then I can shut down. When I reboot next day and load my default flight "Lastflt" I'm still flying my flight plan with FS2k2 is still active and FMC data intact and the Panel setting as i left them. Good luck.

I finally found the problem: it has to do with the installation of the last AIRAC cycle. This changes sometehing that causes the problem. Can anyone confirm that? Reinstallation of PIC and all the patches does not help. The only solution that you reinstal FS2002 from scratch. Anyone any comment?regards and thanks in advance
