Featured Replies

hey folks!i've got a few questions to the experts out there! i reinstalled my photoshop 6 (i didn't like it) to add some effects to my screenshots! it's VERY difficult!! so, could anybody tell me for example how to save a file with a maximum width of 700 pixels? and do i need other programs to paint an aircraft for fs? thank you!here's my first try! enjoy!:-wave ===> peterhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d542253554f8c8d.jpg

Peter,In Photoshop 6 go to Image Size... on the Image menu and change Pixel Dimensions/Width to 700 pixels. If you have the two checkboxes at the bottom ticked (Constrain Proportions and Resample Image) then you will get the correct size file. Can't help you on re-paints though! I haven't tried them yet, but I'm sure someone here will help. :-)Iain Spowart,Scotland.Webmaster and photographer,Scottish Claymores 2002Cheerleaders Fan Sitehttp://avsim.iainspowart.com/2002-s.jpghttp://www.claymorescheerleaders.com

thank you!

anyone? :(

Photoshop is a fine program, but to resize a screen grab quickly I use the freeware program Irfanview:http://www.irfanview.com/I have this set as my default image viewer, and you will find the resize/resample tab has options to use a percentage value, a pixel value, or preset values (eg 800x600). Note - "lock aspect ratio" means adjust both dimensions in proportion - excuse me if you understood this term already. It's not a paint program, but has a heap of useful features, and it's just quicker to load than Photoshop.PH
