November 11, 200223 yr I recently purchased and installed 767 PIC in fs2000 and also installed the patch (1.1) also. But i noticed that when the autothrottle mode switches from VNAV SPD to VNAV PTH, the a/t commands maximum thrust, which at FL370, equates to an average mach of .838, not realistic or economical. Also, i notice the N1 value "flutters" around 105%. When I'm climbing, the a/t keeps the IAS at 309 (econ climb) after 10000 and up to FL300 then right on mach .800, at least until the top of the climb. Right when i hit cruise FL, the a/t commands full thrust. Even if I manually enter a speed to hold, the result is the same. I know that this isn't an issue with my joystick throttle control because when i set N1 mode (as an experiment) on the a/t it reduced power to max N1 for the selected thrust mode and had no N1 "flutter". Also, disabling the joystick did no good either. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but I would surely appreciate some help. I have searched other posts/replies and have yet to find a solution. I know there must be fix that i can apply because this is something that takes some realism out of a remarkable panel. sorry for the long thread, i thought this info was all necessary to describe my problem.
November 11, 200223 yr Im not exactly sure of the problem since you are using FS2000, but I had the same type of problem in FS2K2 and was able to fix it by updating my FSUIPC files (which you can get from the AVSIM file library). I believe the most current version as of today is V.2.93.Hope it helped...Safe Skies!--Jackelb
