Landing View as minipanel

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,I just tried the MiniPanel suggestion for the landing view for PIC.I think I have followed the instructions correctly from what I've read in here, but maybe I did something wrong, cause it doesn't work! So, I'm seeking your help.First, let me point out that I tried it with the setup of Randy's implementation with the VSI rather than Phil's.Whenever I press W to switch to the minipanel, FS crashes...You know, We are sorry we screwed up your flight, and do you want to tell us about it etc...So, I assume I did something wrong.Could someone that have this configuration working please post step by step instructions on how to do it?Thanks!Fly Safe,George DorkofikisAthens, Greece

George,No answer here to your question. I just wanted to say thanks and good job on the LGAV scenery. We flew in and out of there, at least everyone but me, on the CharityFlight last weekend. I was dumb enough not to know that LGAV was not in my scenery until trying to find the runway on short final and had to divert to the closed facility to the west, LGAT. Well that problem is solved now thanks to your excellent freeware scenery.

Thanks for the kind words Mike.LGAV is not included in the default scenery and that indeed create a few misshaps. Glad you solved it... :-)Cheers,George DorkofikisAthens, Greece

After carefull inspection of the changes I made I found out what I did wrong. It works ok now.I think the view problem won't be easy to fix because in the mini panel the outside view covers the whole screen, so unless we find a way to say to FS that the outside view is that wide by that high, it won't work... Of course there's always the shift-enter/backspace solution to this...Oh well... Can't win it all, can one ?George DorkofikisAthens, Greece
