December 2, 200223 yr Hey fellow PIC users I am having an awful time with the PIC/POSKY 767 ballooning on every landing regardless of approach speed. I have even tried cutting the throttle at 100 ft. and as soon as I start to flare (around 20 ft) the #$%@ plane just takes off!! has anyone else encountered this problem and can u real life pilots (hello BBBall!!) give me some tips to cure this very annoying problem. the only thing that i can think of to fix this problem is too fiddle around with the airfile-any suggestions??
December 3, 200223 yr I can't say this is your problem, but add the following line to your {Flaps.0} section of the aircraft.cfg:lift_scalar=0.5Make sure these lines are present in {Flaps.1}:lift_scalar = 0drag_scalar = 0pitch_scalar= 0system_type = 0Make sure you're not flaring too much - you have to be real gentle. Check airspeed - many are surprised by how slow this bird will actually fly. If you're coming in light, consider using Flaps 25 on the landing. If you have joystick noise or a badly calibrated throttle axis, PIC might detect a "spike" in throttle and drop you into TOGA mode if your A/T is armed. I usually take the A/P and A/T offline around 500-1000', conditions permitting, and hand fly her in - so this is rarely an issue, but I have seen this behavior before. You might try this if you're not already doing it, to determine if the problem is possibly joystick related or technique. If you're still having trouble, please post back here with your aircraft configuration, weight, approach speed, attitude, etc...J
