Altitude restrictions

Featured Replies

Hi,I am presently trying to enter some SIDs and STARs and I am facing some troubles: in a missed approached procedure, it's written that we must climb to 2000 ft following runway track (magnetic track 264), and when passing 800 ft, we must turn right magnetic track 034 to intercept radial 242 of a VOR (inbound track 062).How may I enter that in the FMC?Thank you very much for your help.

Toba,Hi there! As far as I know, and based on previous discussions both similar (Overflying Waypoints and programming complex SIDS) I believe that you can not do this with the FMC.Grab the Yoke and fly the aircraft .However - I have seen some missed approaches in the database that have the Miss Procedures in there and they seem to have some altitude like waypoints in them. I have never flown them anyhow, I might use the MAP for some lateral guidance but 95% of the time I'm full manual before reaching the FAF.Good luck,Ian Elchitz CYWG

HiTry using RTE2 fro the M/A I have done this and it seems to work fineBill

I have witnessed Mr. Bill going FMC crazy for approaches etc.. and he is correct as we did it during charityflight, not go around but we were READY!!!Osaka approach.. DME rings and the whole deal... oh yeah. Right Bill?

Affirm Dan!just did what the plates stated
