December 21, 200223 yr Jeff , I Just came off a marathon 35 days in a row with out a day off, now I finally have a couple weeks off for christmas and need to relax . I usually dont have a camera at work ,but today we had our christmas party and someone I work with retired. I'll try take more pics when I get back, but they kind of frown upon cameras at work due to some of the military stuff hanging about .
December 21, 200223 yr Hi,interesting picture, thanks for sharing. Do you know whether there is a display like this one in the 767-400 too? ...hmmm, seems things are getting more and more complex... :-rollCheersHans van Leusen
December 21, 200223 yr Hans, yes the 767-400 uses almost identical display units. Between the 777 ,the 767-400, and the 737NG all the primary displays are very similar. It only looks complex on the surface ,but actually compared to some of the analog gauge airliners of the past its relativly simple. Once you get used to what your looking at its really easy to see alot of information at a glance than to have to look all over the cockpit at different gauges.
December 21, 200223 yr Hello Wallace, thanks, appreciate your quick answer. Sure you are right, sometimes I think about how they made it in the 727. Just saw a 747-100 of Atlas-Air at EDDK, wonder how they do it without a FMC on long haul ranges. Thanks again.Hans van Leusen
December 22, 200223 yr Wonder how Lindbergh did it, with only a watch, compass and Mental Dead Reckoning ......
December 22, 200223 yr 747-100 has INS i thought...otherwise the way they did on the DC3 manual tuning of VOR's and radials.... those were 'labour' days :)
