December 29, 200223 yr First of all I wanted to let you know that your review of the PIC 767 was very informative and definitely sparked further interest in this product. I have had the PIC 767 installed on my system for a while but never really paid much attention to it.After reading your review, I flew the FMC tutorial flight enclosed with the PIC package. My dilemma is I
December 30, 200223 yr Dear Sebastian,First of all, thanks for the kind words regarding the 767 review. It took far too long to get to you guys, and it was all my fault. I had actually finished writing it months ago, but was very displeased with the quality of the screenshots....as you can tell, I never resolved the problem (even after switching screenshot utilities). As far as your request for a "syllabus" type thing to help with your understanding of the FMCs role when enjoying 767 PIC, I'm afraid I'm just going to have to leave you hanging there my friend. It's a great idea, and one that would benefit the 767 community without question, but I'm afraid I simply don't have the one resource available to give it the effort it would deserve....time. I very sorry for the "cop out", but it happens to be the truth. As a person that travels for a living, has three children (all very busy), a very successful (real also very busy) spouse, is working on a writing a novel, is also working on writing a WWII friends auto-biography, and who spends VERY little time in the actual flight sim world, I find that there just aren't enough hours in the day most days.My only recommendation is to use the SUPERB available resources here on this forum. If you have any particular questions, please put them up, and I'm sure some of the very knowledgable folks here will be glad to help.Sorry again, BBall--------------------Capt. December 30, 200223 yr Capt Ball,Off topic, but I was curious if you were at KPDX on 12/27. There were some pretty amazing winds out of the south and rwy 21 was in use. I saw an NWA 757 land and another depart - slim chance, but I thought it may have been you. I can't believe they allow people on the dyke when the landing on 21. You can just about reach up on touch the mains! The wx has bad enough that there was even a Delta 763 that departed on 21! You could feel both the thrust and the heat from the engines when he (she?) through the coals to it.
