strange situation with FMC!

Featured Replies

Hi guys I need some help with something that came up when I flew a route frpm LMPA to LPHR (Horta-Azores) when I tried to typew in the ICAO for Horta on the legs page i got the message that ir does not exist in database but yet it still showed up in the EHSI and so i had to visually fly it in to the airport - what is the reason for this message and how do i rectify it?

The FMC correctly replied that the LMPA was not found in the database...Meaning the NavAid/Waypoint database! You don't enter the departure and arrival aerodromes in the LEGS page, but rather in the RTE (Route) Page...Try reading the FMC manual again. You will see that you can do a vew very nice things right there in the Route page...George DorkofikisAthens, Greece

Hi GeorgeI meant the route page and it does not matter whar i do if I go to the ARR/DEP page and click on any of the available runways for LPHR the whole thing freezes and I get a message saying FS2002 must close so there must be some kind of problem to cause this

That's a totally different problem that has been discussed many times. The problem is in the STAR files.Open them with a text editor (like Notepad) and put a comma (,) at the end of each line (if not already there) except the last one. That will fix it. And also, it's better if you fist select the STAR and then the rwy.George DorkofikisAthens, Greece
