Hello,Tying to understand and grasp this new program, 767Dispatcher. How do I Import Flight plans into it ? I've followed all Excel set-up instructions. I've manually added waypoints with no problem. But when it comes down to setting up the path and extension of a PIC fltpln file, press OK and then COPY TO PLAN and there is no movement, no wapoints being added to the plan. Can someone please help me ? Thanks

Hi there,First of all, are you using Excel2000 (or up)? I am not sure how it works under excel97.most probably your problem is that you pressed the wrong button: to import a PIC767 FMC plan you should write the full path and press the green lettered "Import Flightplan" key, not the copy to plan.If you did that and still no-go, check that your path is correct - it should include the filename and extension, i.e. llbgklax.pln.Let me know if more help is needed!Ilan Jonas

Hey Ilan,Still enjoying using the latest beta of the Dispatch software. Any update on when me might also get ETOPS support etc.?Thanks again for your work on this :)Ben

Hi Ben,Glad to hear that!Still not sure about how deep will I enter ETOPS calculations - it is very complicated stuff. ETP is calculated now between DEST and ALT - I will check the possibilities to expand it.I had very little time avail lately, due to some real world commitments and the project I initiated of forming an Israeli VATSIM department. However just started to work on it once again, mainly incorperating fsmeteo data and some other enhancements and bug fixes. I also started to work on a manual, which proved to be a very hard job... Anyway I guess you can expect a new version soon, but not too soon :-)Let me know if you have ideas or requests (or dreaded bug reports...). You can mail me through this forum if you wish. Thanks, have a nice weekend,Ilan Jonas

You might try opening the .rte file and seeing what sort of comments are found at the beginning of the file. I had a problem at first, but when I deleted the parts with a ; before them and saved it, they imported fine into the Dispatch spreadsheet.I have never had this problem with plans created in FSBuild 1.4 by the way. Check it out, it's free. Hope this helps.Ben

Hi,First of all I meant .rte, not .pln - sorry for that.Seems like Ben might be right - try to load a default rte - one that came along in the 767PIC package - I made a new algorithm to make more route files compatible, hope it will solve this kind of problems. However I think the plan you mentioned IS a default plan so -Try to remove sheet protection: tools menu - protection - sheet and remove the protection.waiting to hear if it helps,Ilan

Oh man o' man , I just don't get this. I like to think of myself as a good technical problem solver and I'm not right now. In regards to removing the ';' from the body of the .rte file, I've done that and noticed every file has the semi-colons. All the sheets are now 'Unprotected'. Is there by chance a recent update that I may have missed? Here is the flightplan in question with the ';' removed before the drive letters 'c:'C:PROGRAM FILESMICROSOFT GAMESFS2002fmcwpnavdataFlightPlansCYYCEGLL.rte FlightPlan generated by WCPSFMCC:PROGRAM FILESMICROSOFT GAMESFS2002fmcwpnavdataFlightPlansCYYCEGLL.rte Origin Airport (Calgary Intl )C:PROGRAM FILESMICROSOFT GAMESFS2002fmcwpnavdataFlightPlansCYYCEGLL.rte Destination Airport (Heathrow )H,CYYC,EGLL, ,W,YYC,,11,51.114998,-113.882217,116.699997,0.000000,0,0,0W,GRETO,@Sd.GRETO,11,51.544582,-113.214058,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,YWV,J505,30,52.981388,-110.833336,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,MEETO,J505,30,53.593334,-107.356667,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,YVC,J505,30,55.158333,-105.266670,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,LITGO,J540,30,56.058056,-103.145554,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,ROMDA,J540,30,56.342777,-102.434166,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,YYL,J540,30,56.864166,-101.075279,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,YEK,J540,30,61.099167,-94.068886,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,YZS,J540,30,64.148613,-83.304726,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,YJI99,,0,67.000000,-60.000000,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,HB,,0,66.935833,-53.699167,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,SF,,0,66.968889,-50.948056,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,DA,5E72,30,65.572220,-37.211388,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,GIMLI,5E72,30,64.639999,-26.978333,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,KEF,5E72,30,63.986942,-22.614445,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,SUNAK,R1,30,63.840652,-22.021553,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,VM,R1,30,63.399723,-20.288334,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,ERAKA,,0,58.000000,-10.000000,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,TIR,UN580,30,56.493332,-6.875556,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,GOW,UN580,30,55.870502,-4.445725,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,FENIK,UA1,30,55.681107,-4.260047,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,DCS,UA1,30,54.721943,-3.340556,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,LAKEY,UA1,30,54.238888,-2.981111,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,CALDA,UA1,30,53.774166,-2.643889,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,CROFT,UA1,30,53.626945,-2.538889,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,BARTN,UA1,30,53.470554,-2.428056,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,LOVEL,UA1,30,53.251667,-2.274444,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0W,HON,UA1,30,52.356667,-1.663611,0.000000,0.000000,0,0,0End of FlightPlan

Sorry about the bum advice I have. What I meant to say was remove the entire line that begins with a semi-colon. So get rid of the three lines in your .rte file that have the directory listings. The file should begin with the H,CYYC,EGLL and leave everything after that.Sorry for the confusion, but I think that will work.BenPS I just tried cutting and pasting it into a text file, saving it as cyycegll.rte and then importing the FP in the Dispatch software. It works :)

You are the man !!! I erased all the directory headings and it worked !!! Thanks alot . With the new VFR views and this program, I essentially have a whole new add-on. By the way, is there way to stop these directory entries from appearing to begin with ???Thanks,Jamie
