February 22, 200323 yr Hi all,I searched the forum for this and could not find anything.I set up a B762 this morning for our big flight tomorrow.Thanks to Lee's merge it was all painless, everything worked perfect.The only issue:Flap indicators do not seem to work. They won't move at all. I can hear my flap level clicking, I can actually confirm the flaps are in fact moving and in the correct positions. I can also control them using the alternate flap controls. There is no indication that the indicator has failed.The question - is this a common occurence? A bug in the merge, a bug in my brain, or just something weird?Ian Elchitz CYWG
February 23, 200323 yr Sounds like a Lee question. I'm going on line in a few minutes, see you there Ian.
February 23, 200323 yr I don't see this problem. Confirm that you have two different flap sections in your aircraft.cfg, &l;flaps.0&r; and &l;flaps.1&r;.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
February 23, 200323 yr Negative.I downloaded a POSKY B762.Downloaded your B762 merge (you god you).Unzipped the merge.Added the Texture and Model foldersRan the batch file.Edited the UI stuff in the aircraft.cfg.Fired her up and flew.Let me know if you see anything missing Lee, I wonder what went wrong? I knew something was weird because the other merges have been so tight, and I do not recall any complaints about the B762.My config belowComments welcome - thanks Lee,Ian Elchitz CYWG--------------------------------[fltsim.0]title=762 PIC/POSKY3 El Alsim=767 Pilot in Command Wilco Publishingmodel=panel=sound=texture=kb_checklists=767PIC_CHECKkb_reference=767PIC_REFatc_id=REGNatc_airline=AIRLINEatc_flight_number=1234atc_heavy=1visual_damage=1ui_type=767-200ERui_manufacturer=Boeingui_variation=PIC/POSKY3 ELYdescription=767 Pilot in Command panelnProject OpenSky visual model[Lights] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi, 7=?, 8=wing, 9=?light.0=1, 0.01, 0.00, 0.00, 762v3_beacons ,light.1=8, 0.01, 0.00, 0.00, 762v3_strobes ,light.2=8, -30.90, -73.90, 10.55, fx_navwhih ,light.3=8, -30.90, 73.90, 10.55, fx_navwhih , // If you wish, you can replace this section with the [Lights] section// from a POSKY aircraft.cfg.[Views]eyepoint=69.00,-2.00,7.74[contact_points]// A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O Ppoint.0= 1, 70.50, 0.00, -10.20, 1600, 0, 2.0, 75, 1.000, 0.500, 0.300, 29.6, 29.6, 0, 270, 290point.1= 1, -5.50, -15.25, -9.80, 1600, 1, 2.0, 0, 1.000, 0.500, 0.800, 17.3, 17.3, 2, 270, 290point.2= 1, -5.50, 15.25, -9.80, 1600, 2, 2.0, 0, 1.000, 0.500, 0.800, 17.4, 17.4, 3, 270, 290point.3= 2, -30.00, -78.00, 8.00, 800, 0, 0.0, 0, 0.000, 0.000, 0.000, 0.0, 0.0, 5, 0, 0point.4= 2, -30.00, 78.00, 8.00, 800, 0, 0.0, 0, 0.000, 0.000, 0.000, 0.0, 0.0, 6, 0, 0point.5= 2, -67.50, 0.00, -1.50, 800, 0, 0.0, 0, 0.000, 0.000, 0.000, 0.0, 0.0, 4, 0, 0point.6= 2, 65.00, 0.00, -3.50, 800, 0, 0.0, 0, 0.000, 0.000, 0.000, 0.0, 0.0, 4, 0, 0point.7= 2, -50.00, 0.00, -3.50, 800, 0, 0.0, 0, 0.000, 0.000, 0.000, 0.0, 0.0, 4, 0, 0point.8= 2, 14.00, -26.10, -8.00, 800, 0, 0.0, 0, 0.000, 0.000, 0.000, 0.0, 0.0, 4, 0, 0point.9= 2, 14.00, 26.10, -8.00, 800, 0, 0.0, 0, 0.000, 0.000, 0.000, 0.0, 0.0, 4, 0, 0// A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P//// A = class (1=wheel, 2=scrape)// B = position, longitude (feet)// C = position, lateral (feet)// D = position, vertical (feet)// E = damage threshold (feet/minute)// F = brake map (0=none, 1=left, 2=right)// G = wheel radius (feet)// H = steering angle (degrees)// I = static compression (feet)// J = ratio max compression to static compression// K = damping ratio (1=critical)// L = extension time (seconds)// M = retraction time (seconds)// N = sound type (0=center gear, 1=aux gear, 2=left gear, 3=right gear, 4=fuselage,// 5=left wing, 6=right wing, 7=aux1, 8=aux2, 9=tail)// O = airspeed limit (knots)// P = damage from airspeed//static_pitch=0.1static_cg_height=9.6[Effects]wake=fx_wakewater=fx_spraydirt=fx_tchdrtconcrete=fx_sparkstouchdown=fx_tchdwn, 1[flaps.1]// This is necessary to make POSKY's leading edge slats work. February 23, 200323 yr Ian, that has the flaps section I added (in the PICPOSKY.cfg area at the beginning), but not Wilco's main flap section. I would suggest finding the &l;flaps.0&r; section from one of the aircraft that work well for you and copying it into this aircraft.cfg. In fact, I would recommend replacing everything after the // Wilco.cfg --> line in this manner because who knows what else is missing.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
February 23, 200323 yr Lee,Thanks a lot - after comparing the B763 (used by me forever) and B762 aircrat.cfg I now see that the //WILCO sections were COMPLETELY different.I copied the B763 one into the B762 and will see how it all works.Thanks,Ian.
February 23, 200323 yr It looks like that Wilco aircraft.cfg had never been loaded into FS, and thus it did not have various sections extracted from the air file. At least that is my best guess about what happened.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
February 23, 200323 yr Not sure Lee but in any event your fix worked great and the flap indicators were nice and smooth.The upside to this is that I now truly know how to use the backup flap controls.Thanks again,Ian.
