B767-PIC No gear up/down with WideView

Featured Replies

HiI have a 7 monitors and 5 computers configuration of the B767-PIC-Posky driven by WideView.Yesterday I added the 5th computer showing the "outside-view" of the B767. Everything is driven very fine by WydeView (engines runnig, flaps up/down, reverse, lights). The only two things not working in the outside view is the gear up/down (reminds down) and the airbrakes ar not set up after touchdown.Has anybody an WideView-config with an outside view with WideView?ThanksPeter

Sometimes my gear does not retract from external view also, but I only have a single screen. When it does this, the cockpit gear indications are normal (ie. they correspond to gear up/down/transitions), but I do also get increasing gear wind noise as I go over 150kts, high fuel flow and poor climb performance, suggesting to me that the gear really is still down. The only way I have found to fix this is to change my aircraft briefly to a non-PIC platform (heaven forbid, I did say only briefly!) cycle the gear, then reload the Pick of your PICs.

How did you get it to stop stuttering. I tried it on mine and it was shaking like an eskimo.I experienced the same problem with the landing gear as well. I didn't bother to look into it because of instability of the view. What I would suggest is to make sure that mobile parts is enabled on both server and clients. Also use the blocking mode and higher update rate. I remember it would sometimes work for me with that configuration. My guess is that, with the outside view, you have a lot more information being carried over the LAN and some commands are lost during the transfer. PIC fuselage textures are enormously sized. Even with other models, the computer is drawing not only the geographical views, but also the airplanes texture.I wanted to try this last time, but didn't have the time...Since you are going to be using the 5th computer for the spot view, why don't you(first backup) remove the TEXTURE files in your server's AIRCRAFT folder and leave it empty. Only have the texture file in your fifth computer, as you will only be needing it there. That would ease up the work load of the main server. I hope this all makes sense to you. Try it and tell me what happens.
