April 15, 200323 yr Hi there, Im having an annoying problem with the VOR/DME on the glareshield. I was setting up for the SID which required a 4 DME climb out then right turn from the loc freq, 110.75, but every time i went to re-check the freq before t/o, the VOR/DME had changed to *AUTO*.I put it back to manual, then reset the freqency and AGAIN!, it changed to auto!Anyone know how to stop this from happening ?Second problem i have is with FSNAV. As soon as i close FS nav using F9, the 767 will decrease its thrust and it will rock its wings.. i have to press F4 quickly to regain the thrust.any light on these problems would be appreciated! Thanks
April 15, 200323 yr if you switch the EHSI between VOR(arc and rose) or APP(arc and rose) and MAP display, the NAV will switch to automatic if not on approach.Cheers
April 15, 200323 yr i still prefer to call me an 'aspi' actually... though i am capable of safely putting the glider up and down again, i still need to learn alot about safety manoeuvres(stall, "vrille", spins...) and of course area navigation, GPS equipment(for the nav..)but it's coming along quite nice :) feels nice to control such a bird to it's most efficient way.Cheers
April 15, 200323 yr I know that commercial aircraft companies and airlines as such like to have glider pilots flying with them because they understand the efficient flying, managing the rudder all the time, keeping drag to a minimal and the rest ;-)
April 15, 200323 yr Another option would be to use the FIX feature in the FMS and paint the 4 DME ring on your EHSI while in MAP mode.
