I know this is the PIC forum...but...Got moved in to the new place last night.Priority 1 = PIC767 = hooking up PC...PC started up rather roughly in SAFE mode detecting new hardware and installing drivers for each??? ...very scary... then it restarted itself in 'normal' mode and all appeared normal....FS2k2 and PIC fired up no problem...but no controller...it does not 'see' the stick being plugged in. The stick is plugged in, has power and the resistence works, green light on...Is there any way to 'see' if the port is receiving a signal from the stick...maybe its a sound card/game port set up issue? When I started Roger Wilco, it told me I had no sound card...I changed the setting in RW to SBLive instead of the on board card and it was ok with that. How it got changed to default (on board sound card) in the first place I don't know...scary. Any tips/tricks would be appreciated SB Live.Thanks,Rob.

Rob,try the following.1. Unplug the stick2. Reboot the Machine3. Reconnect the stick4. See if the machine recognises it as new hardware.5. If all else fails get a CH Yoke :-lolBtw are you joining in on Sunday. I am compiling some stuff to help everyone out with their flightplanning.

Thanks Mark, I've already re-booted/connected several times, no joy. I am thinking it may be a BIOS re-set problem...moving and PC's don't go well together ;-)As for Sunday, it will have to depend on how many boxes need to be unpacked. I may be able to join in half way through (Greenland) as a "non-competitor/observer" and make sure everyone obeys the rules of the road over Canada ;-)CH Yoke is on the list...unfortunately not at the top unless I can't get the old FF stick working.See you up there.Rob.

Speaking of CH Yoke...Has anyone had any experience with their support department? If so, I would appreciate a response by private email. I have just begun the process and would love to hear any advice or experiences anyone else may have [email protected] in advance.

Sure enough, it was a BIOS chage required. Finally found it after 36 re-boots and playing with cables inside the PC...in "CHIPSET FEATURES", not under 'Intergrated Periferals' as would be 'logical'. Disabled the on board sound and the stick is working like a charm...good thing too...'cus I mentioned the CH Yoke to "she who must be obeyed" and the look of death was given.Might even make the pond hop on Sunday after all.Rob.
