Where are my runways? Please help

Featured Replies

Suddenly all my runways are gone, just grass is left. I have a GForce 4, TI 4600 and yeasterday I had to restore my registry. Since then I have no more runways. Does anyone have a solution for this? Thank's in advance.

Having to restore your registry doesn't sound good :-(. My solution would be to reinstall the software. This is easy if you don't have many add-ons, but I know it's a different story altogether if your like me, and a reinstall means several days of work. Sorry I can't help more.

Thank's David, I just reinstalled FS2K2 and I am getting an error message that my western scenery is corrupt. The strange thing is that the east coast works fine. I wonder why the overwritten files don't fix the corrupt file. I will try the whole thing again.

This is a shot in the dark, but I would try it before some of the more drastic options. If you are using a tweak utility for your video card make sure "Z Buffer Compression" is disabled.Hope this helps,

Hi Bernd,It sounds to me like you have non-default scenery installed on your machine, is this the case? To ensure that you are starting from the ground up, make sure that you uninstall the old software (using the add/remove programs control panel), and then manually delete any residual folders that contain add-on software (or that remain after removing FS2K2). Only then will a true "clean" install be possible. If this doesn't help, then you have other issues. Greg's advice is good as well if you are "tweaking" your video card. Keep us posted.
