PIC sound location?

Featured Replies

Hi folksSince I ve dowloaded the wonderful sound set made by great "obk", I'm myself involved in creating new specific sound such as the distinctive rolling sound: you'll be able to hear the heavy "bump" due to the rwy lights, on take off, and as far you accelerate, the sound plays in a higher frequency like in real. However, I've noticed by the way that the original PIC gear sound was increasing unrealisticly on rolling (it's getting to loud, even if I know in real it does bring the most of parasite sound..); I would like to know WHERE the pic sound are located in FS (not in the main sound directory of FS apparently..)?? Same as the gpws sound, where are they, in order to modify them?Otherwise, which gauges do these sound belong to (if they do belong to a gauge)?Thank you guysMichael, qui se d

Did you look in Aircraft767 PIC Wilco PublishingSound, the folder for 767PIC sounds?Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Of course, I did, however the sounds I'm still looking for are not here (gear wind sound and gpws sound). The sounds located in the mentionned directory stand for thrust, aircon, elec, roll, gear, wind (not the gear wind) etc ..Now I don't understand because how would PIC play sound that are not located anywhere (at least in my FS)?

Sounds can be embedded in .gau files.Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Thanks Lee, is there a way to extract these sounds from a gauge?

I don't know if there is the equivalent of GAUBMP for sounds.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
