August 6, 200322 yr Why not, I can't tell them apart anymore.Warning, Love and Peace statement follows:After reading all that has been written in the last several days, I honestly think much of this has actually been good. I am writing this in defense of EVERYONE. Many of us, including me, have written things that just did not fly very well and definitely landed upside down. We are all curious and some less patient than others. And most of all, we really all want the same thing. That make us united, like it or not.Look back on this:I wrote a parable (A Long Time Ago) that was intended to be humorous but I think that many just did not get the deeper lesson to be learned from it.Stiffy made an appearance with a post that those of us who know him would simply have to smile and laugh about. Thanks Jim, I needed a laugh and it was good to see you here.JeffG popped in and wrote just the kind of thing we need to hear more of.Matthias helped me understand something a lot better by pointing us to a developer
August 6, 200322 yr well,as long as we all survive to discuss the marvel called PIC it must be okay, right?well said...wish i had kept my mouth shut, but hey,i just got as sick as you were/are ;-)there's only so much we all can take right?
August 6, 200322 yr Well written Mike. Although I said I didn't care one way or another if PIC767 ever got patched for FS2004, I guess I don't feel that way anymore. The pure passion that it brings out in people is a testament to it's greatness. Here's to patience AND divergent views, without either we'd probably all still be flying FS5!
August 6, 200322 yr Well-said Mike. I can almost hear the harps playing in the background.I have to run... I need to find someone to hug. :-)---My poor attempt at humour aside, I agree with you. The forum has been off track the past few days and I guess I have contributed to that. The whole issue of patching PIC767, (When patching, I say it "patching up"?), is rather moot. WELP will make their decision in their own time, and I'm sure they'll let us know when they are ready. Now, how about some rousing discussions on the topics of yaw dampers, VNAV vs FL CH or why my PIC panel now has a cartoon version of DS doing an interpretive dance where my ND used to be...
August 6, 200322 yr Attached is a screenshot of the problem I mentioned in my previous message.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/28697.jpg
August 6, 200322 yr Hmmm, bad nav data! Maybe that's why Richard's site is down for the moment.Looks like your on approach too. Better follow the traffic at your 11 on Lee's gauge till you have the field.Mike
