August 21, 200322 yr I recall Ilan mentioned a new version for the Dispatcher. Does anyone know if it has been released?/Patric
August 21, 200322 yr I had two problems with it:a. time: haven't got enough of it.b. a techie: there is a b^*#@y MS bug in excel I still have to deal with.I want the new version to include the option to update AIRAC so data will not get outdated. I am close though, hope it will be soon enough...If I won't make it this weekend, I'll release the old version fixed for auto-wx + new AIRAC.
August 24, 200322 yr Thanks for the good news. Hope you will have sorted out the bug in Excel. Meantime waiting eagerly for either or of the verions.Michael
August 24, 200322 yr The problem was sorted out - it is not a bug in Excel but a known limitation. Excel can't handle more than ~65500 records, while Richard Steffan has over 170,000 intersections in his database (including every geographic and oceanic points, this what makes this db so big).I'll probably release a version without dynamic intersections database and take my time figuring it out.
August 24, 200322 yr I know about this limitation. What I do to overcome it when I need is either to split the database in several chunks and link the chunks when needed for calculations or queries. The other solution maybe to have the database lodged in MS Access (no such limitations in Access and have Excel call the MS Accees database when needed.Michael
August 24, 200322 yr I will probably use MSaccess as a possible solution, but this is not high priority.I still hope to release something today as promised.
August 24, 200322 yr Can I ask... what excel program would I need to use this? I have tried to find it but alls I can find is one that sells for around 300USD lol And I am not buying that :)Brian
