This is the website of the ASRS, aviation safety reporting system. It is used by airline pilots and controllers, any pilot for that matter can use it. Most of the reports each month come from Air Carrier/Air Taxi Pilots. If you screw up, you can report the incident within ten days and it becomes your ace in the hole, free ticket out of jail, whatever you want to call it. So, if the FAA wants to take your license away for your screw up, altitude bust, runway incursion, whatever... all you have to do it present them with your copy of the report you filed. You can only use it once every 5 years. You can report all you want, but if you have to use one, your ace in the hole, you cannot use another one for 5 years. Just change the number at the end of the link, going lower to view other ASRS reports, they come out once a month. It's a great way to learn the easy way, from others mistakes, rather than the hard way, your mistakes!Sometime it's amazing what really happens out there in the real world of aviation! Happy Reading!http://asrs.arc.nasa.gov/callback_issues/cb_287.htm
