September 21, 200322 yr I was starting to get really envious of some of the home FS computer setups displayed on the various AVSIM sites... so I stuck this on top of my monitor....http://members.ozemail.com.au/~b744er/767/767MCP.jpgAlmost looks real, doesn't it? :-)Cheers.Ian.P.S. And it only costs $20,000!
September 21, 200322 yr This is just taking it too far LOLHow on earth did you get your hands on that piece of kit! More to the point ;) Will you be wiring it in??
September 21, 200322 yr 20 Grand is cheap! The front windscreen, or window for a B767 is probably close to $50.000 USD!
September 21, 200322 yr Where the F"#$ did you get that man??? I just have the lightplates and a couple of switches but man you have the complete module AMAZING!!!
September 21, 200322 yr he's a Qantas technician, and don't you see the TAG hanging on top of the module? ;)guess guess ;)
September 22, 200322 yr "....don't you see the TAG hanging on top of the module?"Oh, well... I managed to fool a few, didn't I, Lenny ;-)Yup, this is at work.... and the MCP was unserviceable*, so, after having removed it from one of our aircraft... and having camera in pocket... I thought this was an excellent opportunity to have some fun ;-) It's not even my own computer. And as for hooking it up to said computer.... I wouldn't have a clue :(Cheers.Ian.* BTW, all that was wrong with it was that it had a sticky IAS select switch (Didn't wan't to risk spraying half a can of WD40 into the innards of a U$20,000 panel just to unstick it ;-) ).
September 22, 200322 yr hehehehe :) too bad it ain't a total loss case and airline policy says => throw it away cuz then you would have had a nice new piece of furniture?
