GDI problems

Featured Replies

On my last 2 flight with the 767PIC with IFDG plane, FS crashed saying GDI.EXE something :-hahI have never incountered this kind of problems when using 767PIC with IFDG.Maybe this happend because i had GDI.EXE in FS2002 because i need it for PMDG, but when i deleted it, the corruption still came.Someone has some tips?http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...or=SVA1&a=a.jpg

If you're using Win98, its probably a memory issue...Win98 has a well known issue involving memory leaks. I've heard of the issue and a possible solution for other FS addons, but never heard of anyone experiencing it with PIC so can't be much help, sorry.Ryan

When I was beta testing my TCAS gauge, Win 98 caused no end of headaches. I didn't have it, and some of my beta testers did. They were getting resource leaks. I finally installed Win 98 on another partition of my disk and found the problem. It seems Win 98's GDI (graphics direct interface or something like that) was very sensitive to the order of freeing a resource and removing it from the graphics context. Do it in the wrong order and you get a leak. Windows 2000 and XP were insensitive.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
