Pixelated Displays??? HELP!

Featured Replies

Hi all,Please see below the 2 attached pics. Basically since running PIC in FS2002 I have the problem of certain parts of the gauges being a bit pixellated. Now its not that it doesn't work its just down to looks but it would be nice to see them the way they were in 2000. I have installed the patch etc etc but nothing. I normally run windowed (to an extent) 1024x 768 but have tried full screen at higher res' with no change to the pixellation.anyone??Ian.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/43876.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/43878.jpg

Considering the likely compression of those images, they look pretty much the same as what I get when running in 1024x768. When I bump it up to 1280x1024 the gauges get significantly clearer, but keep in mind that these gauges were designed several YEARS ago, and for a different version of FS at that. If you look at the newer addons out there, you'll see a dramatic improvement in overall gauge quality. I would expect to see a world of difference between the existing PIC and PICv2, it's only a matter of waiting.Ryan

Yeah! I agree with Ryan, that's about what I see at 1024 x 768 and as Ryan said these gauges are of the older variety which don't utilise antialiasing, so they will tend to look pixelated, new version I expect will have it.Merv

and when you bump it up to 1600x1200 it's EVEN better ;)
