Programing Failures Causes CPU Freeze

Several times have prgramed some electrical failures, both on the ground and in flight. Each time the failure occurs the computer freezes. CONT+ALT+DEL then task mgr- cancel, then back to FS and continue with the failure and flight. Anybody have any ideas as to what the problem could be? No other problems with my system or programs.
