Veteran Pic Pilot - New to forum, 2 questions!

Featured Replies

Hello all! I have been flying PIC for about 60 hours a month for the last 2 years. Loved every minute of it too. I just found the sight "PIC767flyingclub.com" and downloaded the TCAS/Transponder gauge and think it's awsome. I also downloaded the sound .xml for the pushback gauge as well, which I have been using since it came out. My first question is, I put the .xml gauge in the rcb folder, and added the line in my panel.cfg file, but hear nothing new. What am I supposed to hear, and what have I possibly done incorrectly? My second question is AIRAC: I have never downloaded one, so I am using the original base PIC stuff. Is this the file that will add missing NDB's & VOR's that were left out of the original package? Thanks to all who take the time to answer. I am amazed at the size of the PIC community!!!! :)Later,Neil

Neil,AIRAC will update the Airways, VORs and NDBs.The latest cycle that was released at www.navdata.at was AIRAC0313 - in the real world, the AIRAC database is now at 0402. Richard from Navdata will be updating again next month so that the PIC database is back in line with the real world database. The Database that came with PIC is now about 4yrs out of date - roughly.

I had thought that, thanks for confirming Mark! :)any ideas on the sound file??

TA and RA call outs are not modeled yet on the TCAS IVSI Gauge. Soon

Ok, maybe I am not making myself clear.Let me start that question over..the sound .xml file that I downloaded that is supposed to go with the pushback gauge(which I have been using all along), what sounds does it provide? I installed it as instructed, but hear nothing.1)I installed the gauge into the pushback gauge folder2) I edited my Window01 line in the panel.cfg as instructedBut I don't hear any sounds - I am confused??? What sounds SHOULD I be hearing?? :)
