December 30, 200421 yr Hi all of you,I noticed in the panelscreenshot section that the TCAS moved to the ND iso the VSI. I know some airlines have that as an option but other (mine in occurence) don't have it.Would it be possible to have the option the keep the TCAS on the VSI like in PIC v1 ? I don't remember the name of the freeware gauge I used in PIC v1 but it is very realistic.Thereto also the remark made about the color of the VSI in another threat. The color of the VSI may be different from the rest of the panel due to the changes airlines made to add TCAS capabilities to their VSI and vis versa, when the TCAS was moved to the ND the VSI was again changed to a noTCAS VSI.Thanks for all and happy noew year to all of you,Amedee
December 30, 200421 yr I suppose one could simply not enable the EHSI/EADI TCAS and install my add-on IVSI to do it like in PIC v1, but I do not know what the issues will be. In particular, I would have to make my gauge pay attention to new PIC internals (lighting, power, IRU, etc.) and I don't know if I will go to all that trouble when there is perfectly good TCAS on the EHSI and EADI.I am somewhat interested in adding RA capability to the VSI (red/green lights along the scale), but we'll see. I don't know if this is a realistic option though.Lee Hetherington, PP-ASEL (KBED)
January 17, 200521 yr Hi Lee,Sorry I didn't gave you credits for your wonderful job made on your TCAS gauge for both PMDG and for the PIC V1.As I could see in the PIC V2 manual there is no option on the PIC menu to disable the EHSI TCAS. Wouldn't be possible for you to speak with people of Level D to see if there is any posibility to disable the EHSI TCAS and replace it with your IVSI TCAS gauge? As I could remember the power management for V1 was already implemented, so power management to the IVSI gauge for V2 wouldn't be a great problem. Lighting of the gauge may pose some more problems and of course the link with the IRU.Thanks before hand and continue the great job!Very Best Regards,Amedee VermeireExelAviationGroup
January 17, 200521 yr Traffic display on the EHSI can be turned off with the button on the ND range selector. The logic itself can be turned off on the tranponder. Please don't hold your breath for an IVSI TCAS display. Perhaps I'll come up with one, but personally, I like the traffic on the EHSI. Besides, I seriously doubt anyone would want the release delayed to add such a carrier option.Lee Hetherington, PP-ASEL (KBED)
