Framerates & Lost of Control

Featured Replies

Hi All,I'm sure this subject was discussed in the old forum but I can't go back and look. My problem is as long as there are no a/c in sight my framerates and control is fine. As soon as a/c appear in the forward view window, framerates drop and depending on the number of a/c my sim almost quits. This of course completely causes a loss of control, especially trying to intercept an ILS or switch from Approach to Tower freq.I seem to remember something about the CSL Library but wasn't very clear. Here are my specs (btw don't laugh):PII-400384 RAMVoodoo 3 16 bit graphics cardFS2000Squawbox 2.3.4PIC-767Anyone with a possible clue let me know.

You can access the old forums here: http://www.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgiYou definitely want to have CSL installed. If not, every other plane will look like you, and if you are flying a complex model (e.g., POSKY) and a P2-400 you will suffer. You probably have a CSL.zip in your Squawkbox folder. There should be instructions, but I think you basically unzip it so that you have a csl folder under FSaircraft.Lee Hetherington (KBOS) | [link:www.sls.lcs.mit.edu/ilh/fs/PICPOSKY2.zip|B762 PIC/POSKYv3 Merge] | [link:www.sls.lcs.mit.edu/ilh/fs/DFMS734.zip]B734 Dreamfleet/Microsoft Merge
