PC and Multiplay

Featured Replies

With things changing around a lot at the moment I am finding it impossible to grab the Manual for PC 2.2 - and my copy has no data on the area I am trying to find out about. Can someone tell me about the three options in the File Menu:Connect to Flight SimulatorDisconnect from Flight SimulatorFind Multiplayer hosts.I have not tried using these before and would like to know in what respect PC can work with MP in FS2002.

I believe those were options that were before the generic MP connect that Squawkbox uses now. I still believe that it works GIVEN that a specific aircraft is hosting his own dedicated session and doesn't connect to the SB multiplayer.Used to be, you could search for anyone hosting an MP session, and somehow, PC could get you in on the chat. But, geez, that was at least three or four years ago. Now, it's pretty much an obsolete function, as I understand it.

Thanks for that Hoss. It's a pity because it would be nice to provide an ATC service in MP sessions. PC is streets better than ATCRDS or ACRAD that people are trying to use.I know folks will say "why don't the pilots join VATSIM" but they've never touched "live" ATC before and need their confidence levels boosting a bit before they take the plunge. I was hoping a few "off server" sessions would help.

Go to the Help menu, Add-ons, Alpha Software, and open "Windows Server"Have the pilots in your MP session start up SB and connect to your IP address, and there ya go...ENJOY!
