Mulitplayer, Squawk Box & ADSL Routers

Featured Replies

Hello,A bit of a problem. I have an ADSL router (Speedtouch 510v4)which has an inbuilt firewall. I am now unable to start a squawkbox multiplayer session. I think the firewall is blocking the multiplayer session, because I get the mesaage "Unable to join game."Is there a specific port I should be opening up?I hope someone can helpthanksMichael

Well, i have no idea if your box is the only one behind the modem and other network settings, but the bestthing you can do is disable the modem firewall and install a firewall on your PC.Also you should change your modem settings, it would take me an hour to explain why but it is quite easy to upload new settings to your modem. This is done with an ini file. A few ini files should be on a CD you got...if those are general inis don't use them, but if you also got a CD from your ISP which has ini setting files for the modem you can use those. The best way to do it is using an ini which deliver DHCP spoofing. If you can't find anything on any CD contact your ISP and ask them on how to set our modem with DHCP spoofing. That should solve all your problems
