Send Add Player Req

Trying to get a friend up and running on VATSIM.That is the error msg he gets.I personnally installed his SB. AND configured his Operating System. Everything worked fine, saw other players when testing..all was good.Today he reported that he was unable to see other players.I walked him through the startup of SB and FS2k2. Step by step in real time over Roger wilco.All settings, i do mean ALL settings were matched to mine...my SB works fine.He still gets this error msg and cannot see other players, not just me.I saw him just fine..he moved changed aircraft..even showed up on my FS multiplayer menu.He saw nothing, except on SB TCAS.I am stumped folks.He is using Windows XP Home..He is also using Combat Flight Sim 3..with the boxed DX. He had this on his computer when i installed SB..and tested it ..all was good. Until Today.Does he need to upgrade to DX9?Thanks.
