Rain in Squawkbox

Featured Replies

For some reason I don't have rain in the weather in Squawkbox. I have real time clouds, wind, sunlight etc. but no rain. The only way I can see rain is to download the weather from Jeppeson site thru FS9 weather option.Any ideas? Thanks, Jerry

Yes, this is how it works. Precipitation information is not managed by SquawkBox. You must use external weather to get precip. Be aware with Jeppesen weather you may be in disagreement with your network's view of the weather. Usually this isn't a problem but it could put you in conflict with other traffic and a controller may require to you to revert to your network's weather. With the payware add-ons such as ActiveSky and FSMeteo, there is an option to use network weather to avoid this problem while still getting precipitation.

Richard, Thanks for the info. I will look into Active Sky and FSmeteo.Thank for your help-Jerry
