LA Center lays down the gauntlet with the ZLA Challenge

Featured Replies

For Immediate Release -VATSIMs Los Angeles Center has issued a challenge to all on-line pilots by announcing the 'ZLA Challenge Event'. For this event, IFR-rated pilots, and those who think they are 'pilot enough', will be challenged to shoot five full complex approaches at some of California's foggiest airports. Pilots will need to study up on their NDB, Back Course and Localizer approaches. As the routes could get busy, the ability to perform holding patterns will also be tested.Leave your turbojets behind and grab your favorite commuter, multi-engine, or single and experience the pressure of 'single pilot IFR' in a busy traffic environment, 'as real as it gets'.ZLA is inviting the best, and those who wish to give it their best try, to come and join the fun on Sunday May 26th, starting at 10:00 a.m. California time, (17:00 Zulu) and going till the fun stops. For more information, visit our website at www.laartcc.org and check out the ZLA Challenge link.Jim BartoshEvents CoordinatorThe Los Angeles Center
