April 21, 200224 yr Dear Pilots, It is my honour to invite you to the brand new event organised in cooperation of FIR Wien of Austria, Czech VACC of the Czech Republic and VACCHUN of Hungary - The Central Eastern European Great Circle Tour (CEEGCT)! Come to Central Eastern Europe and visit 3 cities in 1 night - Budapest, Prague and Vienna! Although it might sound complex at first, I'll explain it how easy it is - and it will be an unforgettable event! Remember, it's not just an ordinary fly-in - it's a triple-flyin!!! Saturday, 27th April 2002 from 1700 UTC (1900LT) to 2200 UTC (2400LT)The idea:Pilots depart from one of the given airports (LHBP, LKPR, LOWW) and fly to another airport, to make a touch-and-go approach there and continue to the third airport, make another touch-and-go and then return to the origin to "finish the circle". For example Depart from Budapest, fly to Prague, make a touch and go, fly to Vienna, make a touch and go and fly back to Budapest. The Dep. Airport and direction of the circle can be determined by the pilot! All positions at the airports concerned will be fully staffed and full ATC coverage will be provided enroute too by experienced controllers. Register!Every VATSIM pilot can join the event, with whatever callsign you like - as a VA pilot too, of course. To make the event as professional as possible it is required that pilots and controllers thoroughly prepare for the event. Therefore we ask everyone to register, as it is mandatory for participation!!!We will send all the details, all the information needed to every registered pilot. You will find the CEEGCT website here: http://gizi.dote.hu/vacchun/flyin_ceectRegister as soon as possible because registration will be closed on 24th Apr! All you have to do is select an airport from the above 3, select your favourite aircraft and register! You will be soon flying at a superb VATSIM Fly-In! Hope to see you soon at the Central Eastern European Great Circle Tour, best regards,Peter FELIXDirector Fir Wienhttp://www.firwien.at
