May 30, 200224 yr I joined VATSIM and I am still experimenting so that I learn as much as possible before trying to fly online.I installed pro-controller and got conected as an observer but I note that I cannot read the text around airplanes. I tried to change fonts and colours but still cannot read it properly. Is there a way to do this. Currently I am using a dial up connection. I am able to connect through cable but I have to go through a NAT computer, is it possible to connect that way.

May 30, 200224 yr Please note that I can see the aircraft labels but the text is unreadable. Actually I can see some sort of text with a circle around it which is moving, I assume this shows the airplane position. If I try to change the font and colour under the BRITE options it changes accordingly. Also if I find the right place in this circle and click with the mouse I get the flight plan and other details for the aircraft.
June 8, 200223 yr I used to get this with my old GF256 graphics card. Haven't seen it in a while so a change in either card and/or drivers has fixed it for me.One thing you can try is; start Pro Controller, switch to the desktop and change resolution. Then switch back to PC. This can correct the problem with the text.I'm using NAT through a Cisco router and it all works fine.Andrew Luck18 miles SW EGSH
June 9, 200223 yr Thanks Andrew, it seems that if I go to the display settings, just change from 32 bit colour to 16 bit colour or vice versa clears the problem. It seems that I have to do this all the time.I encountered few other problems, pointer errors and also if I zoom to much I get another error but I can live with both. It is very impressive as I use procontroller with Roger Wilco so I have the whole picture. Many thanks again
June 10, 200223 yr Glad I could help. You haven't said which graphics card you're using but a switch to a GF4-4400 sorted things at this end. Drivers are revision 28.32Andrew Luck18 miles SW EGSH
