VATSIM Los Angeles and Oakland ARTCCs are proud to present California Screamin 7, our latest installment in this famous online event series.California Screamin has been growing phenomenally, and this one has promises to set new records. In addition to the Seattle and Albuquerque Centers returning we have invited Salt Lake City and Denver to join in, giving you an amazing array of flying experiences. The time and date is Sunday December 8th, starting at 10:00 Pacific (18:00 Z) thru 15:00 Pacific (23:00 Z) or until everyone quits.California Screamin aims to simulate authentic airline operations by using our flight booking and planning system. From the web site, pilots can reserve a set of real world flights, and get all the charts and routing information. Real callsigns are available, but VA pilots may choose to fly under their own callsigns or even fly their own routes. However in keeping with the event theme we ask that pilots make at least one leg within California and restrict their flights to within the huge area of Seattle, Oakland, Los Angeles, Salt Lake, Denver, and Albuquerque Centers.In the past, most pilots have tended to "mob" KLAX, but we stress that this is not a "KLAX" exclusive event. Traffic levels have soared to hundreds of pilots and pilots are guaranteed to have plenty of interaction at all of the involved fields.
