Setting up a network for multiple players on one network

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how to setup a network so more than one person can fly in VATSIM. I have 3 computers in the house connected to a router, but I can't seem to get each player to their own session.Does it have to do with the IP Address of each computer?I read some where about how to do it, but now I can find it doing a search. Thanks for any help.........

Ed,For one thing, clarify you have a second or third person in the house who is a VATSIM member. If not, you would not be allowed a multiple connection per VATSIM rules. If you do have another member of VATSIM in the house, then it becomes an issue for the techies to answer. Not being one, I hesitate to take a stab at this. Even though your router assigns local IP addresses, you are only connecting to the internet with one IP address. I believe that may be the primary issue involved here. Lets Give me a couple of days to see how it might be accomplished.

You will have problems with voice, though they are not insurmountable, if your router can do static port forwarding of UDP packets and you know how to set it up. However, you'll have no problems with multiple flight sim's connected to the network and no problem with text communications.cz
