You do not need to pay for FSUIPC to connect to VATSIM through Squawkbox. But if you are using FS2004 you will need the newer version of FSUIPC http://www.schiratti.com/files/dowson/FSUIPC.zip(currently version 3.078). But, you do not need a paid registration. Squawkbox has a Freeware registration code (LWVQ 7I2V 9GPB) that can be used to give you the FSUIPC functionality required. We are working on a central source for this information but for the time being, here is an excellent tutorial for setting up the software required to use FS2004 http://www.fsnordic.net/article/tutorial/s...4/sb_fs2004.phpOnce you properly configure and register the software, you will have no problem connecting with the same functionality you had before. There is no requirement to purchase a registration just to fly on VATSIM.If you are using FS2002, the earlier freeware version of FSUIPC 2.975 still works fine with no additional registration.

No, you don't. In fact, I was somewhat lost myself and had trouble getting things to work right until I followed Mike's link and the instructions with another program - SB Relay. Sure enough...things came right back together.

ERROR in my previous post. That first reference to the FSUIPC version is a typo, that should be (currently version 3.10)-edited because I just noticed a brand new version has been released-
