July 17, 200421 yr Routers, SB, and FS9I have found SB and AIBridge connection problems using FS9 are being caused by the firewall in my router (Linksys BEFW11S4). As recommended, I will NOT be disabling the firewall. The best suggestion I have seen is adding filters allowing FS related programs through the firewall. I found this reference:6809 - for Squawkbox TCP/UDP6703 for SBRelay (if Used) TCP/UDP1900/6073/23456 for Direct Play UDPGoing to the Linksys setup screen then >>advanced >> Filters I see the place for adding filters. However the filters allow for a range of ports ( I think that is what they are refered to as). What ports should I allow for SB, SBRelay, and any other commonly used add ons at VATSIM?Thanks!btw... VATSIM bosses, isn't this something that could be in the PRC?Karl H.P4 1.6 mHz256 RamRadeon 9600SE
July 17, 200421 yr Yes there is no need to turn the firewall right off, and you would be crazy to do it anyways.Read this it will give you little more info on what SBRelays needs.http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/sbrelay/help.htmlI don't have a router with my ADSL so that is about all I can tell you.
July 17, 200421 yr Thanks for the suggestion. I go there now and look at it.Karl H.P4 1.6 mHz256 RamRadeon 9600SE
