Q1. Yes that is rightQ2. Yes, that will keep the radar screen clear for the controllersAsk for the active runway once you are cleared to start. Then the extra 5 mins does not matter, don't try to take this 5mins after you ask for taxi. All this should be done before you call for taxiQ3.
