October 31, 200421 yr I have made search how to create routes.I still don't know how to solve all situations.I actually once used MSFS auto-router, butATC say it's complete wrong route.I have try FSBuild and FSNav very briefly, FSNav looks nice. But I can't get any of them to do the real job for me. If FSNav can't createshort-form route for ATC! And FSBuild, honestly I don't get the ide at all. (on very briefly look). Now I use http://rfinder.asalink.net -> "Free area" and it seams good enough most routes. However see following problem:Chosed KDEN -> KPHX FL310rfinder.asalink.net say:ROCKI4 HBU J10 RSK J44 INW BUNTR1(fixes: HBU RSK DEXTR DILCO INW)To make sense, (using PMDG) I modified it into:ROCKI4 HBU J10 RSK GUP BUNTR1ATC change my FP to:PIKES3 ALS J102 GUP BUNTR1 I appreciate much that ATC do correct my routeexatly as they want. And this route ATC accepted I did use just: PIKES3 ALS GUP BUNTR1 But I want to do it correct at first place, and be able to change into "J102".You pilots or ATC that know, what tools and briefly what procedure to route KDEN -> KPHX FL310. And how to get fixes for e.g. J102 when needed. What is your tools and procedures ?Lennart Vedin SAS202
November 1, 200421 yr FSNav does a great job, however your right you have to go back into the route and add the jetways by hand.Take a look at this site, all the routes in it are by Vatsim FIR/ARTCCs so they should be ok. But the database only covers the lager US airports and some of western Canadahttp://www.eleventhstreet.com/fb2/ShowPlans.aspxYou get chart links and current weather, as well it will link you too the vatsim webpage to file your flightplan, no need to do any of that in SB.However some of the routes only give you the short version, you'll need to go in to FSNav or FS2002/2004 nav and create your waypoints for the AP and here is your routeKDEN PIKES3 ALS J102 BUNTR1 KPHX
November 1, 200421 yr Thank you Dave.I think I'll give FSNav a real try.And to use http://www.eleventhstreet.com/fb2/ShowPlans.aspxin U.S. as well.Lennart Vedin SAS202
