Hello everyone... after a drastic time of experience during the process of learning how to manage this issue i have finally come to a conclusion to share with my fellow pilots. The Problem Is SquawkBox Giving an Error Message When You Try To Connect To It. Above Send Dont Send you should see something that says click here for details and the top section should look like thisAppName: squawkbox.exe AppVer: 2.3.0.5 ModName: user32.dllModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 000163c8You can well indetify that user32.dll is stopping this process and as a system file it is applying its duty. Why is this issue created ?Firstly, you are most likely running a router, secondly you dont want to use payware but you want to use trial freeware to run squawkbox, such as fsuipc where you have to buy a serial key, or you can use the trial version.Ok firstly... i want to close some opinions that are drastic...Firstly people tend to say that you need the latest version of fsuipc that of being 3.4 today. Then they find multiple reasons such as direct x being 9.0 c and not b, these are not issues onwards to msfs 2004... nor does it have to do with the m/p session, these are just statements for others to make them selves sound professional... futhermore you will find out that by doing those updates you will still get this error...So anyway how do you get this to work when user32.dll is blocking this issue?Firstly, you need to know your ip adress that your router is providing, by (if using win xP) click on start -> run -> type cmd(if using win98/me/2000) type winipThen a command prompt box will open, in there typeipconfig and it should give youConnection-Speficic DNS SuffixIP Address....Subnet Mask...Default Gateway...What you are interested in is the IP Adress..., find out the number on the other sides of the dots and type it onto your URL in my case it would be 192.162.1.1 then you need to log into your router... you probably set your log in account before when setting up the router.Anyhow, go into your port forwarding section and open the following ports47624 - 47624TCPfinish the last number after the dotenable2300 - 2400UDPfinish the last number after the dotenable6073 - 6073UDPfinish the last number after the dotenable3290 - 3782UDPfinish the last number after the dotenableThis will open your router ports for AVC and SB. Then save the config and start your msfs 2004.Click on multiplayer, then click on settings,,, and set the ports for the both on 23458.And then follow these settingsstart sb relay 1.2start msfs 2004start m/p sessionstart a flightstart HOSTSB.dll by going to modules drop down list when clicking ALTStart HOSTSB by clicking on runStart Squawkbox From WindowsAnd You Should be set :)Hope you understand the tutorial, if you need any help dont hesitate contacting me at [email protected],Marc
