January 2, 200521 yr I am trying to set up FX2004, SB etc etc.All software including SB, SB Relay, FS2004, FSUIPC etc have been installed corrctky as far as I can tell.If I startup SB Relay neither FS or SBwill recognise the server session.I have tried opening ports on the firewall, allowing programs thru the firewall, entering IP address 127.0.0.1 in the seach for a multiplayer sesion, changing the client ports in FS to other numbers including "0", hosting a sesion before connecting, running SB relay before conneting to the internet etc etc. However, neither FS nor SB will recognise any sesion to connect to....I can connect to other multiplayer sessions on Zone.com with no problem. Any suggestions, this is driving me crazy..Running XP Pro, SP2 and I think latest version of all component software.CheersJulian
January 3, 200521 yr Once everything is properly installed, proceed as follows:1) Open SB Relay It should tell you you can now open FS9 and SQ 2.352) Open FS9 and once open activate multiplayer session. 3) Next open module HostSB, from the FS9 modules tab.4) Then you can finally open SQ version for FS9 (FS2004)5) You can then open FNAV (F9) and activate multiplayer session in this module as well.6) Of course this all requires a FSUIPC v 3.0+ for FS 2004 to be supported. The above should work. There is also a detailed tutorial on the VATSIM site. A VERY USEFUL TOOL.Hope I am helpful. Regards, Tomas Muñoz
January 8, 200521 yr Tomas...re your notes:I have installed everything properly think and worked carefully through all the tutorials on the site (mnany times, still no joy....Specifically relating to your points>1) Open SB Relay It should tell you you can now open FS9 and SQ 2.35done >2) Open FS9 and once open activate multiplayer session. Started FS, start Multiplayer but it bever finds any sessions to join - this is the problem I think.??>3) Next open module HostSB, from the FS9 modules tab.I dont think i can start this until I have connected above adn created a flight to access the ALT/Modules tab??>4) Then you can finally open SQ version for FS9 (FS2004)not got that far>5) You can then open FNAV (F9) and activate multiplayer session in >this module as well. What is FNAV?>6) Of course this all requires a FSUIPC v 3.0+ for FS 2004 to be >supported.I have version 3.44 18/12/04 version installed.RegardsJulian
