I fly mostly in the Misty Fjords area of Alaska branching past Anchorage to the west and Bristish Columbia on the east using GA aircraft mostly. Would Vastim have any coverage in that area of the world for the mostly VFR pilot?

I see Anchorage Centre on quite often. I am sure they will give you a service.

I have talked to Bert, who is online almost every night up in Anchorage, and if there was some interest in VFR flying in his area, he could be contacted via the chat window in SB.I have flown with him lots of times. So if you are interested Bob, take contact, and we'll have some vfr flying together. You'll find my mail here and over at Misty's :)Johnny"I'LL BE BACK"[div align=center]http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/josve/aat.jpg ][/div

Well I have Vatsim up and running on my system and I checked it all out in the South Florida area last nite, and everything works. I am going to start looking at the Anchorage Center at night, ( around 2330Z) to see if anyone is on there, and do some Alaska flying..........
