Question about Squakbox.

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm new to the forums. I'm in the military and currently deployed to Iraq. It's hard for me to get information, and I thought this would be a good place to start.I tried to connect to VATSIM this morning (night for those in the US)using Squakbox. It would connect for about 10 mins. Then disconnect with the following message "Error: Unauthorized client software (16)" does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or why I would be getting that error message? I've connected to VATSIM countless times back in the states with no problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Jordan

I see it's been a week and you don't have a response to your question. There are some alternatives. What version of Squakbox are you running? There are more than one pilot client for VATSIM at this time. Did you try FSInn?Check out http://www.vatsim.net/prc and follow the links to insure you're running the latest and have followed the step by step connection procedure.Since I run FSInn, I could be more helpful if you were getting errors related to that pilot client.-- L. Hi Jordan. You are better off asking questions in the forums at http://forums.vatsim.net/ as not many Vatsimmers frequent the AVSIM forums. The error message you are getting occurs when the routine authorisation check on your software from the VATSIM servers failed. The commonest reason is that there is a problem with the connection to the server. It could be the server itself - which one were you using? On the other hand, how reliable is your internet connection in Iraq?RuthVP- Communications, VATSIM
