How does the other airplanes appear on vatsim? Do you see every one of them or a select few? Do you guys play with AI traffic on with vatsim?Thanks for the help....Alex

Hi Alex,Flying online with VATSIM automatically disables the AI aircraft. That is to ensure there is no conflict between AI aircraft following their own sets of instructions, and what the online ATC is telling you to do.You will see all the aircraft within the visibility range you set, but it's worth keeping the range down, certainly to no more than 40 miles, as lots of aircraft at once tend to slow down the frame rates. And anyway, in real life, much more than 10 miles you will only see the aircraft as a small dot!All the common aircraft should look like they are supposed to. Some of the less common ones will appear as a default - unfortunately in Squawkbox, that means they look like a large paper dart, which is very irritating, but it won't be sorted until someone gets round to writing the software to make the aircraft disaply properly.Ruth McTigheVice President - Communications, VATSIMwww.vatsim.net
