May 7, 200224 yr I need some help with defining AXIS.Background: I want to put two throttle controls, flaps, and trim on a computer attached to the main computer with WideViewpro. Unfortunatly, I haven't an EPIC Card and I don't know of anyone that has conected these controls from a separate computer via WideFS - Or has someone?I have checked Peter Dawson's documentation and he indicates that throttles etc need to be connected to either AXIS 3®, 4 (U), 5 (V), or 6 (POV).The AXIS I want to assign are:AXIS_THROTTLE1_SETAXIS_THROTTLE2_SETFLAPS_SETAXIS_ELEV_TRIM_SETQuestion: If I connect the usual 4 pots to a normal JOYSTICK[00] port, how can I asign them to AXIS 3,4,5 & 6 instead of 1 (X),2(Y),3®,4(U)?Thanks,Ken R.B737-700 Constructor
May 7, 200224 yr Ken,I can answer on the flap question. FLAPS_SET is not recognized in FS2002. Look in the latest release of "FSUIPC for Advanced Users." On page 11 of the MS Word version, it tells how to control flaps in FS2002. A little awkward to setup, but it works. You have to pick another axis control that you won't use. I'm using AXIS_PROPELLER_SET, since I fly jets. I tried AXIS_MIXTURE_SET, but it caused the PSS A320 ignition switches to operate. Not a good thing to kill the engines when selecting flaps on approach. Then within FSUIPC.INI file, you place the corresponding axis control number where it says FlapsSetControl=0. So, mine says, FlapsSetControl=66292. Then go to FSUIPC and calibrate the pot.I'll see if I can make any sense of the throttle question.Richard
